Superheroes, giant robots, and explosions – it must be summer. Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down our picks for the Top 10 Anticipated Releases of June 2017. For this list, we're taking a look at new releases in the realms of movies, music, and video games, as well as premieres of new TV series and new seasons of ongoing series.

#10: “Cars 3” Release Date: June 16, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Worst Cars of All Time

After a horrible crash, Lightning McQueen is left broken and defeated, devastating many of his fans in the process. Huh, is that supposed to be a metaphor for “Cars 2?” Well by that logic, “Cars 3” could refuel this animated franchise, as Lightning stages a comeback of fast and furious proportions. Promising a darker tone and a more sophisticated story, lightning will hopefully strike at the end of the finish line. Just don’t expect it to outrace “Toy Story 3.”

#9: “Despicable Me 3” Release Date: June 30, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Most Despicable War Crimes in History

The third entry in another animated trilogy, “Despicable Me 3” will not only have minions galore, but double the Gru. Upon reuniting with his long-lost twin brother, our favorite bad guy gone good must decide whether or not to go bad again. Meanwhile, Gru also faces off with a retro villain named Balthazar Bratt, voiced by Trey Parker. That’s right, the co-creator of “South Park” is in a family picture! Our only guess is that he wanted to do an age-appropriate movie for his daughter.

#8: “Transformers: The Last Knight” Release Date: June 23, 3017 [U.S.]

Five has been the magic number for many struggling film franchises. Just look at “Fast Five” and “X-Men: First Class.” So perhaps “Transformers” will find redemption with its fifth outing as well. Set against a post-apocalyptic backdrop, “The Last Knight” revolves around a war between the Transformers and humankind. With Optimus Prime seemingly turning to the dark side, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Best-case scenario, the movie will reach “Beast Wars” territory. Worst-case scenario, well… “30 Rock” probably said it best.

#7: “GLOW” – Season One Release Date: June 23, 2017

The 80s was a time for dirty dancers, truly outrageous singers, and an unlikely group of wrestlers. “GLOW,” which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, centers on a real-life female wrestling league that broke out in 1985. The invaluable Alison Brie takes center ring as Ruth Wilder, an aspiring actress that introduces television audiences to the world of women’s wrestling. Bringing together alumnus from “Orange Is the New Black” and “Nurse Jackie,” this Netflix original series should have more than enough laughs, tears, and spandex to go around.

#6: “Melodrama” by Lorde Release Date: June 16, 2017

“Pure Heroine” was a sensational debut studio album from Randy Marsh… err, we mean Lorde. The New Zealand artist described her freshman album as her “way of enshrining our teenage glory.” Her sophomore album explores what comes after our teenage years as we enter a new world. “Melodrama” will additionally encompass a theme every newborn adult can identify with: being alone. Lorde performed two of the album’s songs on “SNL” last March and it’s only a matter of time until the remaining tracks get the green light.

#5: “The Beguiled” Release Date: June 23, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Most Anticipated Releases of November 2017

An adaptation of the 1966 novel and remake of the 1971 Clint Eastwood film, this period piece stars Colin Farrell as a solider that’s wounded during the Civil War. He finds refuge at a girls’ school occupied by Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, and Elle Fanning. That might sound like a male fantasy, but it quickly escalates into a nightmare. Between “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Unforgettable,” 2017 hasn’t been the best year for erotic thrillers. With Sofia Coppola behind the camera, though, “The Beguiled” looks like a genuinely creepy drama draped with sexual tension.

#4: “The Mummy” Release Date: June 9, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Most Anticipated Releases of October 2017

Cinematic universes are all the rage these days and the Universal Monsters are getting in on the action, kicking things off with a reboot of “The Mummy.” Sofia Boutella from “Kingsman: The Secret Service” plays the titular monster, who’s ready to unleash her fury upon mankind after sleeping for over millennia. Fortunately, we’ve got Tom Cruise on our side. This will pave the way for a slew of other films starring our favorite monsters… assuming Universal doesn’t pull another “Dracula Untold.”

#3: “Baby Driver” Release Date: June 28, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Awkward Baby Names

From the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy to “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” Edgar Wright has established himself as one of modern cinema’s most entertaining directors. Based on the overwhelmingly positive critical response “Baby Driver” has already received, it appears Wright is showing no sign of slowing down. Ansel Elgort stars as Baby, a getaway driver that signs up for – you guessed it – one last job. With Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, and Kevin Spacey also onboard, you’d better believe that nobody puts Baby in the corner.

#2: “Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy” Release Date: June 30, 2017

Long before Nathan Drake was uncovering ancient treasures, Crash Bandicoot was putting Naughty Dog and the Sony PlayStation on the map. As much as we love the original “Crash” trilogy, it’s been long overdue for a facelift. Fortunately, it appears Vicarious Visions and Activision saw our list of the Top 10 Most Wanted Video Game Compilations And Bundles. With improved graphics and plenty of nostalgia, the “N. Sane Trilogy” just might jumpstart Crash’s big comeback. Now if we could just get a remastered “Spyro the Dragon” collection.

#1: “Wonder Woman” Release Date: June 2, 2017 [U.S.]

Also in:

Top 10 Most Anticipated Releases of September 2017

DC needs a hero now more than ever and our money’s on Diana Prince to save the day. Why? Because Wonder Woman ironically stole the show in “Batman v Superman.” Gal Gadot returns as the Amazon princess, who dawns her lasso, bracelets, and tiara in the midst of World War I. If the filmmakers find the right balance of action, humor, and heart, “Wonder Woman” may set the DC Extended Universe on the right path. Then again, we basically said the same thing about “Suicide Squad”… Do you agree with our list? What release has you the most pumped up for June?
